In Balance Fitness + Wellness offers you a positive, safe and personalized haven in which you can find your fit through tailored, targeted and unique programs.
All of our classes are one hour in length unless otherwise stated.
Please dress comfortably for all our classes. Always pay attention to your body and adjust your pace accordingly. Please feel free to communicate any questions or concerns to our instructors, we’re here to help!
GROUP CLASSES
Beginner Mat Pilates: This is an introductory class to Pilates for those who have never engaged in this form of fitness before. The focus of these sessions will be on helping you connect with your pelvic floor and strengthening your core muscles through fundamental Pilates exercises.
Intermediate Mat Pilates: This class will build on fundamental Pilates exercises and will also expand into more advanced exercises to continue to tone and build strength. In these sessions, weights, balls, and bolsters will be utilized in more advanced ways to maximize the benefits of the exercises.
Bucket Babies Mat Pilates: For those mommies whose precious bundles are still in buckets (a.k.a. infant car seats!) and who are looking to begin building back their all important pelvic floor and core muscles post-labour, this class is for you! Babies are welcome to join and watch mommy as she works out from the comfort of their infant car seats!
Restorative Plus: This class is focused around relaxation and therapy through movement. Focus will be placed on stretching all primary muscle groups and facilitating a better energy flow through the body. All fitness levels are welcome to join in this class.
Hatha Yoga Beginners: New to Yoga? We suggest starting out with these classes. This series of sessions will emphasize alignment and basic yoga asanas (postures) that create the foundation of yoga practice. The level of the class will depend on the teacher and the needs of the students. You can always make classes easier or more challenging for yourself by following the teachers’ cues for variations and modifications of the poses.
Pump it Up Hatha Yoga: If you’re looking for a little more ‘umph’ but like the style of the Hatha classes or are a Hatha guru yourself these classes are for you. Enjoy an advanced class in which the instructor will take you and your body to new heights through Hatha!
Ashtanga Yoga: If you want a more vigorous and challenging form of Hatha yoga in which your body will be kept continuous motion from start to finish, sign up for our Ashtanga yoga class!
Bucket Babies Yoga: For those mommies whose precious bundles are still in buckets (a.k.a. infant car seats!) and who are looking for both strengthening and relaxation post-labour, this class is for you! Babies are welcome to join and watch mommy as she works out from the comfort of their infant car seats.
Belly Fit Classes: This class drills all parts of the body including the glutes, abs, and arms. Pulling the gentle techniques from Tribal Fusion Belly Dance, students will be primarily using their muscles for popping, locking and stomach techniques. This style of strengthening the body is great for getting the mind connected with the muscles, toning, and increasing endurance without having to do strenuous exercises. Free dance, inspired by Nia dance, will occasionally be introduced in the class as well. This class is for all levels and students are encouraged to work at their own personal capacity.
Dance Aerobics: Get ready to burn calories in a way that you’ve never experienced before. This dance based aerobics class will push you to your limits and help you tone key areas of the body such as glutes, inner and outer thighs and arms.
Urban Poling: If you don’t want to be cooped up inside and prefer working-out in the great outdoors, Nordic Walking is a perfect fit for you! Our studio will provide you with a set of specialized poles to use during your sessions. Find the spring in your step with us as you embark upon a 10 week cardiovascular journey to a healthier you!
* If you would like to purchase your own personal set of poles, you can purchase them through our studio. If you are not interested in the group classes but wish to do urban poling on your own, we advise that you take a couple tutorial sessions with our instructor.

Private and Semi Private Sessions can be arranged at our studio or in the convenience of our clients’ homes on an individual basis.

PRICE : 1 session $70/hr, 5 sessions $65/hr, 10 sessions $60/hr (+HST)
Semi Private Pilates/Yoga Sessions: Two people share a session with the instructor at our studio.
PRICE : 1 session $40/hr/pp, 5 sessions $35/hr/pp, 10 sessions $30/hr/pp (+HST)
